Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that relations between India and Germany have strengthened significantly over the years, reflecting growing cooperation across multiple sectors. Speaking on bilateral ties, he highlighted defence collaboration, technological exchange, and economic engagement as key pillars of the partnership.
India and Germany have expanded cooperation in defence manufacturing and innovation, aligning with India’s push for self-reliance under its domestic production initiatives. The two countries have also deepened engagement in areas such as renewable energy, climate action, and advanced engineering.
Singh noted that shared democratic values and mutual trust have contributed to the steady growth of relations. Regular high-level dialogues and joint initiatives have further reinforced the partnership. Germany remains one of India’s most important partners within the European Union, particularly in trade and investment.
The strengthening ties come amid a changing global landscape, where strategic partnerships play a crucial role in addressing security and economic challenges. Both nations continue to explore new avenues for collaboration, aiming to enhance stability and growth while contributing to global development efforts.
