Qatar Wins 20 Medals at West Asian Table Tennis Championships

Qatar won 20 medals at the West Asian Table Tennis Championships in Amman, Jordan, collecting four gold, two silver, and 14 bronze medals.

The gold medals came in men’s singles, men’s doubles, and team competitions. Abdulaziz Nasser Abdullah, Mohammed Abdulwahab, and Abdullah Abdulwahab won individual titles, while Ahmed Al-Qarni and Rawad Al-Nasser claimed gold in the doubles event.

Qatar’s Under-19 men’s team also won gold in the team competition, highlighting the country’s strength among its younger players.

Sultan Al-Kuwari secured silver in the singles competition. Serena Sheikh and Dana Al-Kaabi added another silver in the Under-13 girls’ doubles event.

Qatar’s 14 bronze medals were spread across singles, doubles, and team events involving different age categories.

The championship featured teams from Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Palestine, Oman, Iraq, Bahrain, and the UAE.

Qatar Table Tennis Association President Hamad Ahmed Al-Hammadi praised the players for their performances. He said the results reflected continued efforts to develop the sport and nurture young talent.
