The CAF 2026-27 calendar has been confirmed, providing member associations, commercial partners and fans with greater clarity on major competitions, dates and host nations across African football.
The biggest event on the calendar is AFCON 2027, which Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda will jointly host. The tournament will run from June 19 to July 17, 2027, with qualifiers beginning in September 2026.
The CAF Super Cup will take place on November 8, 2026, in Tshwane, South Africa. Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns will face USM Alger, the Confederation Cup holders.
CAF has also confirmed hosts for several youth tournaments. Ghana will stage the U-20 AFCON in February and March 2027, while Morocco will host the U-17 AFCON in April and May. Egypt will host the U-23 AFCON, which will also serve as a qualification tournament for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
In the futsal and beach football calendar, Morocco will host the Futsal AFCON from October 12 to 21, 2026, while Senegal will host the Beach Soccer AFCON in November.
The preliminary rounds of the 2026/27 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup will begin in September. First-leg matches are scheduled for September 4–6, followed by return legs from September 11–13.
CAF is also studying the possibility of launching a new African Nations League, as it explores ways to create more commercially attractive and meaningful competitions across the continent.
