Bangladesh faces a significant obstacle in the form of electricity deficiency, a threat to its economic progress. The escalating requirements for energy, driven by surging economic expansion, swift urban development, and industrial advancements, have exacerbated the situation. Hosaf Group has made a significant contribution to the indispensable field of power generation by establishing HF Power Limited. The firm is a subsidiary of Energyprima Limited and part of the Hosaf Group, which was established in 2007 to address power shortage in Bangladesh. The primary objective was to address the severe power shortage in the country and support the government’s vision of ensuring universal access to electricity by 2018. Energyprima is also a leading company in the private sector rental power generation industry in Bangladesh.
Recognising the expertise and capabilities of HF Power Limited, the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) entrusted them with a 113 MW HFO-fired IPP power plant project for 15 years. This project, located in Chowmuhani, Begumganj, Noakhali, Bangladesh, commenced operations successfully on December 31, 2019, thereby making a valuable contribution to the national economy through electricity supply to the national grid. HF Power Limited is committed to expanding its operations and building additional power plants across the nation to fulfill the government’s goals of providing electricity access to all citizens and eliminating power outages in Bangladesh, taking into account the current possibilities available.
