Indian Women A delivered a dominant performance, thrashing Pakistan Women A by eight wickets in Match 6 of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 on Sunday.
The match, played at the Terdthai Cricket Ground, saw India bounce back strongly after their opening loss to the United Arab Emirates Women A. Pakistan captain Hafsa Khalid elected to bat first, but her side struggled against disciplined Indian bowling. Saima Thakor struck early, removing opener Yusra Amir in the first over and later dismissing Khalid for just one run.
Opener Shawaal Zilfiqar top-scored with 23, while Gull Rukh added 21 and hit Pakistan’s only six. Anosha Nasir chipped in with 17, but Pakistan were bundled out for 93 in 18.5 overs. Thakor, Radha Yadav, and Prema Rawat claimed two wickets each.
In reply, India lost Humairaa Kaazi early, but Vrinda Dinesh smashed an unbeaten 55 off 29 balls, sharing a 79-run stand with Anushka Sharma (24). India chased down the target in just 10.1 overs, moving to second place in Group A behind the UAE.
India will next face Nepal Women A, while Pakistan takes on group leaders UAE.
