Oman has renewed its invitation for Indian enterprises to explore investment prospects in Khazaen Economic City, positioning the country as a cost-effective and reliable gateway to the Gulf. Issa Saleh Abdullah Saleh Alshibani, Oman’s Ambassador to India, emphasised that the Sultanate provides a stable and well-connected platform for businesses wishing to expand into the Middle East and the wider Indian Ocean region.
Khazaen Economic City, near Muscat, is being developed as a flagship integrated economic and logistics hub. It provides ready-to-use land parcels, simplified rules, and attractive incentives to enterprises in industries like food processing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, logistics, textiles, light manufacturing, and export-oriented SMEs. The initiative seeks to give investors modern infrastructure and an efficient administrative setup, ensuring smooth operations from the start.
Alshibani emphasised Oman’s strategic advantages, like its geographical proximity to India, short flight time, cultural familiarity, and excellent connectivity to Gulf and international markets. He stated that Oman’s investment environment is designed to boost confidence and promote business growth.
Alshibani expressed warm birthday wishes to PM Modi on behalf of the Omani government and people, reaffirming the country’s commitment to strengthening economic and cultural connections with India, describing Oman as a natural choice for Indian enterprises seeking regional expansion.
