Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India is the world’s fastest-growing economy and is moving steadily towards becoming the third-largest economy globally. He said this after inaugurating the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Saurashtra and Kutch region in Rajkot.
At a time of global uncertainty, the PM said India is experiencing stability and confidence. He highlighted political stability, controlled inflation, and strong economic growth as key factors driving the country forward. He also said that global expectations from India are rising steadily.
PM Modi also said India has made major progress in recent years, with Gujarat playing an important role. He pointed out that India is now the world’s largest producer of milk and vaccines and a major producer of automobiles. The International Monetary Fund has also recognised India as a key driver of global economic growth.
Referring to reforms, Modi said India is leading in digital adoption, with UPI becoming the world’s top real-time payment system and the country emerging as the largest consumer of data. He added that India is now the world’s second-largest mobile phone manufacturer and ranks among the top three countries in solar power and metro rail networks.
Calling Gujarat a preferred investment destination, he urged investors to explore opportunities in Saurashtra and Kutch, which he described as emerging hubs for manufacturing and future technologies.
