Qatar set to host world’s largest LNG event

Under the support of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, QatarEnergy will host the 21st International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG2026) in Qatar from February 2 to 5, 2026.

The event will be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) and is expected to bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts from more than 80 countries. Known as one of the most important global events for the LNG sector, the conference will position Qatar as a central meeting point for discussions on the future of liquefied natural gas.

LNG 2026 will be held under the theme “Leading LNG: Powering Today and Tomorrow.” The conference will focus on market trends, new technologies, and innovations that are shaping the LNG industry. Discussions will also highlight LNG’s role in global energy security and its importance in the ongoing energy transition.

Speaking ahead of the event, Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, said Qatar is proud to host the conference for the second time. He said the event offers an important platform for global dialogue on the role of LNG as a reliable and affordable energy source.
