Simranpreet Kaur Brar Clinches 25m Pistol Gold at ISSF World Cup Final 2025

Simranpreet Kaur Brar made a spectacular comeback to win the women’s 25m pistol gold medal at the 2025 ISSF World Cup Final in Doha. She matched the junior world record with a flawless finish. China’s Yao Qianxun won silver, and Germany’s Doreen Vennekamp earned bronze.

Korea, China, and India were the top qualifiers. Yang Ji-in, the Olympic champion, topped the list with 593 points, followed by Yao and Oh Ye-jin with 588 each. Esha Singh led India with 585, while Brar and Vennekamp tied with 584. Feng Sixuan and Sun Yujie completed the final line-up.

Oh, Yao, Vennekamp, and Yang had a solid start to their final. Brar started slowly, but recovered rapidly. She hit four in the second series and continued to gather momentum. Yao briefly led with two perfect rounds, but Vennekamp remained close behind. Brar kept climbing with a long streak of accurate shots.

As the eliminations began, the pressure rose. Singh finished seventh, while Sun came in sixth. Brar then rose to the top with consistent scoring. She extended her lead after Oh went out in fourth and Yang finished fifth.

Brar finished with a perfect series of 41, securing an incredible win and her first ISSF World Cup Final gold.
