Takshvi Vaghani Sets Two Guinness World Records at Just 8 Years Old

At just eight years old, Takshvi Vaghani from Gujarat has already achieved what few athletes can dream of, earning two Guinness World Records in limbo skating through years of dedication, determination, and family support.

Takshvi’s journey began during the COVID-19 lockdown when her parents introduced her to different sports equipment to keep her active at home. A pair of roller skates immediately caught her attention and sparked a passion that would shape her future.

After recognising her interest, her parents enrolled her in professional skating classes once pandemic restrictions eased. According to her father, Takshvi began exploring different sports at the age of two and a half before discovering her love for skating. By the time she was four, she had started training under a coach.

Today, Takshvi Vaghani holds the Guinness World Record for completing a limbo skate under a bar set at just 16 centimetres, demonstrating remarkable flexibility, balance, and precision. Her achievements have made her one of India’s youngest world record holders in the sport.

Her success is even more remarkable because limbo skating was largely unknown in Gujarat when she started. Her father said there were no professional coaches or experts in the discipline locally, and she achieved a place in the record books through relentless practice and perseverance.

Despite already creating history, Takshvi has even bigger ambitions. Alongside continuing her skating career, she hopes to join the Indian Air Force one day and win an Olympic gold medal for India.

With two Guinness World Records already to her name, Takshvi Vaghani is proving that age is no barrier to dreaming big and making history.
