Cyprus to Showcase Tourism Potential at 52 Global Exhibitions in 2025

The Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism announced an ambitious plan to participate in 52 international exhibitions by 2025, to expand the island’s global tourism footprint. This program will emphasise Cyprus as a destination with natural beauty, cultural legacy, and sustainable tourism options.

The campaign will target both general and niche markets, with events scheduled in Europe, Asia, and beyond. The season kicks off with the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf in August, followed by the IFTM exhibition in Paris, the Tourism Expo in Osaka, and SeaTrade Europe in Hamburg in September. In October, Cyprus will be represented in Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Birmingham, where it will pitch itself as a top wedding and romantic getaway destination.

November will be particularly significant with participation at the World Travel Market in London, IBTM in Barcelona, ITTF in Warsaw, and Philoxenia in Thessaloniki. Other events, like the Athens Authentic Marathon and exhibitions in Leipzig and Colmar, will focus on specialised categories like sports and cultural tourism.

By focusing on sustainable practices, rural tourism, and year-round attractions, the Ministry seeks to promote Cyprus as more than a summer destination. The strategy also builds on prior success, with the island attending 44 global exhibitions in 2024 to increase its footprint in important markets.
