Indian businessman Yusuffali MA was appointed as the vice-chairman of ADCCI in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan appointed Indian business Yusuffali MA as the vice-chairman of the apex government body for all businesses operating from Abu Dhabi. He becomes the only Indian on the 29-member board.

65-year-old businessman Yusuffali is the Chairman and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi-based LuLu Group. LuLu group operates hypermarkets and retail companies in many countries. A resolution was issued by Sheikh Mohammed to form a new Board of Directors for the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI). The board of Directors will be chaired by Abdullah Mohamed Al Mazrouei and Yusuffali as the Vice-chairman. ADCCI is the apex government body that functions as an effective bridge between the government and the business sector. All the business establishments have to be licensed by ADCCI.

Sheikh Mohammed recently honored the Indian businessman with the “Abu Dhabi Award 2021” which is the highest civilian honor. He received the award for his five-decade-long contribution in the fields of economic development and philanthropy. On being appointed as vice-chairman he said he is very humbled and proud of it and promised to serve better in his field along with boosting the Indo-UAE trade relations.
