Rajasthan bodybuilder Arshan Khan won a historic gold medal at the World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship 2025, which was held on Batam Island in Indonesia. The 16th edition of the worldwide event concluded on November 16, with 34 national teams competing in 46 medal categories over three days.
Arshan, 29, delivered an exceptional performance in the over 100-kg division, securing the top podium place and marking a landmark achievement moment for Rajasthan. The State Bodybuilding Association’s president, Naveen Yadav, stated that the competition ran from November 14 to 16. With this victory, Arshan becomes the first athlete from the state to win gold at the global championship, writing a new chapter in Rajasthan’s sporting history.
His win follows another major accomplishment earlier this year, when he was named Asia’s best bodybuilder at the 56th Asian Bodybuilding Championship. His consistent rise has strengthened India’s presence in the international bodybuilding arena.
Rajasthan’s former bodybuilder Vijay Poonia, together with Association secretary Ashok Audichaya, treasurer Rajesh Yadav, and international instructor Pradeep Barasa, congratulated Arshan on his dedication and remarkable global performance.
