The UAE Food Cluster organised a UAE–India Business Forum in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh government, bringing together more than 32 UAE and Indian companies from the food and agriculture sectors to strengthen partnerships across food, agriculture, supply chains, AgriTech and advanced value chain systems.
Held during a UAE economic delegation’s visit to Andhra Pradesh, the forum was led by UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB).
A key outcome of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the UAE Food Cluster and APEDB to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, innovation and food manufacturing. The agreement seeks to strengthen food security, build resilient supply chains, promote sustainable food production and encourage the adoption of modern technologies through joint investments and knowledge exchange.
Bin Touq said the UAE Food Cluster has attracted more than 2,000 companies in just two years, highlighting the country’s advanced infrastructure and regulatory framework for integrated food and agricultural value chains. He noted that the UAE is home to more than 10,000 food-sector companies, over 38,000 farms, and 44,199 registered food-related brands.
Bin Touq and Chief Minister Naidu also discussed expanding cooperation in food security, agriculture, tourism, hospitality, infrastructure and maritime tourism. Business-to-business meetings between Emirati and Indian companies also explored partnerships in food processing, seafood, aquaculture, cold chains, manufacturing, exports and distribution.
