UAE’s First Sovereign AI Data Center Goes Live at Innovation City

Innovation City and IOPn have launched Middle East’s first sovereign AI data center, bringing NVIDIA B200 GPUs to Innovation City, Ras Al Khaimah, strengthening the UAE’s ambitions to become a global hub for artificial intelligence.

The new facility, operated by Siada, an IOPn enterprise, is fully operational and provides AI companies with access to sovereign computing infrastructure where all data processing and storage remain within the UAE.

According to the announcement, the data center allows founders and enterprises to access NVIDIA B200 GPUs on demand, reserve long-term compute capacity, or deploy dedicated on-premises AI environments. The infrastructure supports AI startups, fintech firms, gaming studios, and enterprises running advanced AI workloads while meeting local data residency requirements.

Unlike conventional cloud deployments, the sovereign AI data center ensures that all computation takes place in UAEl, allowing organisations to retain full control over their data and comply with evolving regulatory requirements.

Innovation City launch removes access to high-performance computing infrastructure, as global demand for advanced AI chips continues to outpace supply, solving the biggest challenge faced by AI businesses.

The initiative reflects the UAE’s growing focus on sovereign digital infrastructure as governments and businesses prioritise secure, locally hosted AI capabilities.

Officials from Innovation City and IOPn said the partnership positions Ras Al Khaimah as a key destination for AI innovation, combining advanced computing infrastructure with an ecosystem for technology companies.
