Union Minister Met the US Deputy NSA

On Wednesday, Union minister Piyush Goyal met US Deputy national security advisor for international economics Daleep Singh to deepen India-US economic and strategic relations.

Daleep Singh is on a two-day visit to India ahead of the 2+2 Dialogue between the two nations which is scheduled in Washington on April 11.

Singh is likely to meet many other government officials and promote inclusive economic growth and prosperity. The focus will also be on free and open Indo-Pacific. He will consult his counterparts regarding Russia’s invasion and mitigate its impact on the global economy.

Mr Piyush Goyal tweeted, “Met US Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics & G20 Sherpa, Daleep Singh. Discussed at length steps for further deepening India-US economic and strategic ties. Our complementary partnership will help us build resilient economies in a dynamic world order”.

According to the official statement, Singh will also discuss the priorities of the Biden Administration and promote high-quality infrastructure through Build Back Better World along with the development of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Defence Secretary Lyod Austin will meet with External Affairs Minister S Jaishakar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
