Indian travellers can now use the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) to book tickets online for popular attractions in Dubai and Singapore, expanding the reach of India’s digital payment system to international tourism.
The facility is available at At the Top, Burj Khalifa, in Dubai and selected attractions at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore. These include Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark.
The initiative has been enabled through partnerships involving NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), the international arm of the National Payments Corporation of India. In the UAE, NIPL partnered with NEOPAY and Emaar Entertainment to introduce UPI payments at Burj Khalifa. The attraction is the first in the UAE to accept UPI for online bookings.
In Singapore, the service was introduced through a partnership with FOMO Pay, extending payment options to attractions operated by Resorts World Sentosa.
Visitors can select UPI at checkout, scan the payment QR code using their preferred application and authorise the transaction. The facility allows Indian travellers to pay through a familiar digital platform without requiring an international payment card for these bookings.
The development follows growing demand for convenient cross-border payment services. Singapore received approximately 1.2 million Indian visitors in 2025.
UPI is currently accepted in 10 countries, including the UAE and Singapore. Uzbekistan is expected to become the 11th following a commercial agreement announced in August 2026.
The expansion builds on India’s efforts to establish international partnerships for digital payments and strengthen financial connectivity.
