India Week Launches Saudi Arabia’s Global Harmony Drive under Vision 2030

Saudi Arabia has revealed the second edition of its “Global Harmony” project, which will begin with an elaborate “India Week” celebration during the ongoing Riyadh Season. The Ministry of Media, in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority, organised the event to emphasise the country’s growing commitment to diversity and cultural exchange under Saudi Vision 2030.

The program seeks to highlight the contributions of expatriate communities to Saudi Arabia’s cultural, social, and economic landscape. By displaying traditions from other countries, it promotes harmony, inclusion, and mutual understanding among residents.

“India Week” kicked out with huge cultural performances showcasing traditional Indian dance, music, art, cuisine, and crafts. Indian artists and performers captivated audiences, and exhibitions highlighted the profound historical and cultural ties between India and Saudi Arabia. The celebrations received passionate participation from the Indian community, transforming Riyadh into a thriving hub of Indo-Saudi friendship.

Dr Suhel Ajaz Khan, the Indian ambassador, lauded the project as a significant step towards improving people-to-people ties and boosting cultural interchange. He praised Saudi Arabia’s objective for promoting global collaboration through creative expression.

Following India Week, Global Harmony will highlight 13 additional cultures to commemorate Saudi Arabia’s development into a global hub of cultural harmony.
