Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, greeted him warmly upon his arrival, according to social media posts from the Ministry of External Affairs. Prior to his two-day visit, PM Modi emphasised India’s commitment to strong cooperation within the BRICS, which has emerged as an important venue for solving major global development concerns. He commented on BRICS’ recent expansion, emphasising the participation of new members as well as the organization’s broader objective for global good.
Russia intends to increase the influence of non-Western nations by hosting this conference. After arriving at his hotel, PM Modi was hailed by the Indian diaspora, who chanted slogans and sang traditional welcome songs.
