Moscow Boosts UAE Tourism Ties with Goal of 50 Million Visitors by 2030

Moscow is intensifying efforts to position itself as a top tourism destination for visitors from the United Arab Emirates. The city has set a bold goal of attracting 50 million visitors per year by 2030, with the UAE recognised as a key market. This cooperation seeks to strengthen cultural, economic, and tourism collaborations, ultimately improving Moscow’s international standing.

In the first nine months of last year, more than 40,000 Emirati travellers visited Moscow. This marks a significant increase from only 5,000 visitors in 2022. The increase in numbers demonstrates the effectiveness of Moscow’s strategic measures to attract Gulf travellers.

Moscow’s tourism strategy includes collaborating with UAE tour operators and agencies to create tailored trip packages. These initiatives ensure that Emirati visitors may enjoy the city’s historical attractions, vibrant arts scene, and cultural landmarks. The Kremlin, Red Square, and the Bolshoi Theatre are still famous attractions.

Direct flights between Dubai and Abu Dhabi improve connectivity, making travel easier for UAE residents. Moscow is also investing in cultural exchange programs and marketing initiatives for the Middle Eastern market. These activities are intended to create long-term partnerships and encourage repeat visits.
