On May 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch 103 redeveloped Amrit Stations throughout 86 districts in 18 Indian states. The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme has invested over ₹1,100 crore in revamping stations to improve passenger experience and celebrate India’s unique cultural history.
PM Modi will oversee the inauguration from Bikaner, including a visit to the recently modernised Deshnoke Railway Station. During the event, he will also flag off the Bikaner-Mumbai Express and address a crowd in Palana. The Prime Minister will launch infrastructure projects in Rajasthan worth over ₹26,000 crore.
Over 1,300 railway stations are being transformed across the country as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The modifications prioritise modern amenities, increased accessibility, and design aspects that represent regional architecture and sustainability.
In a push for green infrastructure, PM Modi will also lay the groundwork for the 58-kilometre Churu-Sadulpur railway line and dedicate six electrified railway sections to the country. These initiatives contribute to Indian Railways’ objective of achieving complete network electrification.
Modi plans to undertake highway projects worth ₹4,850 crore and initiate 25 significant development schemes in Rajasthan.
