The UAE has announced a comprehensive AED500 million ($136.1 million) package of community-focused programs aimed at improving the quality of life for senior citizens, women, and children throughout the country.
This ambitious program was launched at the UAE Government’s Annual Meetings under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This project is supported by prominent people like H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, besides other ministers and senior leaders. The key objectives pursued under the initiative involve seniors’ community centre establishment, establishment of a UAE Youth Humanitarian Council, establishment of a training academy for Arabic children content, and renovation of sports infrastructure in outlying communities.
H.H. Mansour underlined that investment in human capital is an integral component of the UAE’s strategy for sustainable development, targeting the building of a balanced, advanced society. These programs have long-term commitments concerning the implementation of the overall plan of the UAE aimed at enhancing public welfare.
