UAE’s Al Nuaimi Meets Brazil, Belarus Leaders to Expand Strategic Ties

Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Committee on Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs in the UAE Federal National Council (FNC), met with Senator Davi Alcolumbre, President of the Senate of the Federative Republic of Brazil, during the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum at the National Congress in Brasilia.

Sara Falaknaz, a FNC member, and Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi, the UAE Ambassador to Brazil, attended the meeting. Senator Alcolumbre praised the UAE parliamentary delegation’s active involvement and stressed the importance of strong parliamentary connections that promote bilateral cooperation. He praised the UAE’s efforts to promote transparency and advance economic development at the regional and global levels.

Al Nuaimi underlined the UAE’s strong connections with Brazil, emphasising Brazil’s role as a strategic partner. He highlighted the need for cooperation in development projects that benefit both countries. Both parties discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties, particularly in advanced technology, energy, and economic investment, to establish long-term strategic collaborations.

Al Nuaimi also forwarded a formal invitation from Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the FNC, to the President of the Brazilian Senate to visit the UAE.
