India has made a strong impression at Eurosatory 2026, the world’s largest defence and security exhibition, highlighting the country’s growing defence manufacturing capabilities and global ambitions in the sector. Held in Paris from June 16 to 20, the event has brought together over 2,000 exhibitors from around 70 countries and attracted nearly 100,000 visitors.
India’s participation is being coordinated by the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) and features eight companies showcasing indigenous defence technologies and products. Participating firms include Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Alpha Design Technologies, BSS Material, MKU, Apollo Micro Systems, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited, and MKU Components, among others.
The exhibition provides Indian defence companies with an opportunity to engage with global stakeholders, explore export opportunities and demonstrate the country’s growing capabilities in defence electronics, surveillance systems, protective equipment and military mobility solutions.
India’s defence exports have increased significantly, growing from ₹686 crore in FY 2013-14 to ₹23,622 crore in FY 2024-25. This reflects the rising international demand for Indian-made defence products.
BEL, one of India’s leading defence public sector companies, is showcasing a range of advanced systems at the event, including electronic warfare solutions, communication equipment and surveillance technologies. Other participating firms are presenting products spanning personal protection systems, armoured mobility platforms and advanced defence components.
The strong presence at Eurosatory comes as India continues to pursue its goal of becoming a major defence manufacturing and export hub. Industry representatives view the exhibition as an opportunity to build international partnerships, expand market access and strengthen the global visibility of India’s defence industry.
