Erling Haaland has reached 300 club goals, becoming the second-fastest player in football history to reach the milestone.
The Manchester City striker scored his 300th goal in a 1-0 win over Coventry City. He found the net in the 26th minute, and the goal proved enough to secure the victory.
Haaland reached the 300-goal mark in 368 appearances. His goals have come during spells with Molde in Norway, Red Bull Salzburg in Austria, Borussia Dortmund in Germany and Manchester City in England.
His rise through European football has been marked by prolific scoring at every stage. After starting his senior career with Molde, he moved to Salzburg before joining Dortmund. His move to Manchester City followed in 2022.
Only Lionel Messi reached 300 club goals faster. Messi needed 365 appearances to reach the milestone, although all of those goals came for Barcelona.
Haaland, by contrast, has reached the mark across four different clubs and in several European leagues.
Kylian Mbappé needed 398 appearances to score 300 club goals. Cristiano Ronaldo took 499 games to reach the same total.
Haaland’s milestone goal came from a header after a cross from Antoine Semenyo. It proved decisive in Manchester City’s win over Coventry City.
At 368 appearances, Haaland now sits second only to Messi among the fastest players to reach 300 club goals.
