Based in Bangalore, ARTIST was established in 2005 with a goal to further improve the abilities of the obstetricians & gynecologists in India. Through their program KAPs (Knowledge, Aptitude & Practices), they gathered information regarding capabilities & competencies of Obstetrics & Gynecologists (ObGyns) in India & found several gaps in the quality of services and availability of ObGyns. Therefore, ARTIST came up with an innovative solution to fill them up by training, teaching, and more research to put up a better wellness and healthcare system in place.
FOSTERING CAPABILITY BUILDING
ARTIST’s primary objective is to prioritize maternal and child healthcare throughout the country. They understand that this can be achieved by ensuring that the medical workers at the forefront are effectively skilled to carry out various medical procedures and advise on after-care too. For this purpose, the team at ARTIST resolved to have a sturdy skill transfer system which enhanced the capabilities of the doctors. Dr. Divakar, through the programs & initiatives of her organization, seeks to minimize the rate of mortality and improve critical health indices.
A NATIONWIDE REVOLUTION
Kick-started in Bengaluru, Karnataka, by focusing on research, development, and trainings, ARTIST marked its first phase of skill development. Through its collaborations within the circle of healthcare workers in Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka, the ball got rolling soon. Speaking of a nationwide movement, ARTIST has outstretched its arms to the interiors of Rajasthan & Assam & imparts training through ARTIST Skill Gurukool to the paramedics & health care providers there. Besides these, it is also looking to spread its wings to other zones in India.
