Dubai has opened its first Work From Park facility at Al Barsha Pond Park, offering residents and visitors an alternative to traditional offices and home workspaces. The initiative was launched on November 2 by Dubai Municipality in partnership with flexible workspace operator Letswork and construction company Group AMANA.
The facility combines outdoor workspaces with indoor co-working areas, meeting rooms and private offices. Visitors can use outdoor desks and rooftop seating free of charge, without booking in advance. The areas also provide internet connectivity and power sockets.
Indoor facilities are available for those seeking an air-conditioned working environment. A day pass for the shared workspace costs AED 50 and includes coffee and Wi-Fi. The facility can accommodate around 30 people in its co-working area, while meeting rooms are available for AED 200 an hour. Dedicated desks and private offices can also be booked for longer periods.
The project aims to make public parks more accessible for everyday professional activities while supporting flexible working arrangements. The workspace also includes areas for networking and community events.
Dubai Municipality said the initiative forms part of its broader efforts to develop public parks into multifunctional spaces. Al Barsha Pond Park has been designated as the first flagship destination under the programme.
The municipality will assess public feedback before deciding whether to introduce similar facilities at other parks across Dubai. The initiative also aligns with the Dubai 2040 Parks and Greenery Strategy, which aims to expand and improve public green spaces across the emirate.
