2026 World Cup Final Pitch to Be Sold as Limited-Edition Memorabilia

FIFA will sell authenticated pieces of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final pitch as limited-edition collectibles after the tournament, a move that could generate millions of dollars in revenue.

The collectibles will be made from sections of the playing surface at New York-New Jersey Stadium, which will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. Encased in acrylic display boxes, each piece will feature an inscription with the tournament logo, venue, date, and the official match played on the pitch. FIFA said every item will carry a unique serial number and certificate of authenticity.

Priced at $450, the pitch collectibles will initially be available to buyers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. If all units are sold, FIFA is expected to generate more than $11 million in revenue from the initiative.

The organisation is offering different-sized pitch sections, ranging from small 3 x 3-inch squares to larger display pieces. The sale follows growing demand for sports memorabilia, with match-used equipment and stadium items increasingly attracting collectors worldwide.

The grass used for the collectibles will come from the playing surface installed at the stadium after the tournament. According to reports, the pitch will be sourced from a farm in North Carolina and installed shortly before the World Cup final to ensure optimal playing conditions.

FIFA has previously sold match-used memorabilia, but the World Cup final pitch marks one of its most ambitious collectible offerings, allowing fans to own a physical piece of football history from the sport’s biggest event.
