India and South Korea signed multiple agreements aimed at expanding cooperation in defence, cybersecurity, military training, and United Nations peacekeeping operations during high-level talks between the two countries. The agreements were signed during Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to Seoul, where he held discussions with South Korean Defence Minister Ahn Gyu-Back.
The agreements include cooperation in cybersecurity, defence information sharing, institutional training exchanges, and collaboration between India’s National Defence College and South Korea’s National Defence University. Officials from both countries described the pacts as an important step toward strengthening strategic and defence ties.
In addition to government-level agreements, businesses from both countries also entered into defence-related partnerships aimed at boosting industrial cooperation and advanced defence manufacturing. Reports stated that India and South Korea are exploring collaboration in next-generation military technologies, including laser weapons and air defence systems.
The discussions reflected growing defence engagement between New Delhi and Seoul amid evolving regional security challenges. Both sides emphasized the need for closer cooperation in emerging technologies, defence production, and strategic security initiatives in the Indo-Pacific region.
