Mohammed Al Musabbi Claims Gold at Diamond League Youth Race in Monaco

Mohammed Al Musabbi, a youth athlete from the United Arab Emirates, won gold in the 1000-meter youth race at the Diamond League event in Monaco. He finished the race in 2:34.44 minutes, setting a new national youth record. This is the fastest time ever set by a UAE athlete of his age in this event.

The race featured 21 runners from top European clubs, making the competition challenging. Al Musabbi’s persistence and attention allowed him to stay ahead of competitors from nations with strong middle-distance running traditions, such as Italy and France.

The UAE Athletics Federation praised his accomplishment, citing disciplined training and focused coaching. The Abu Dhabi Sports Council has also supported initiatives aimed at preparing young athletes for global tournaments, with the goal of strengthening the UAE’s status in world athletics.

This win not only contributes to the UAE’s sporting achievements, but it also serves as an inspiration to young athletes throughout. Al Musabbi intends to continue practising for the next competitions, striving for further success in his career while representing the UAE on international platforms.
