Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for strengthening India’s global engagement while addressing the 11th Heads of Missions Conference held in New Delhi from April 28 to 30. The conference, organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, focused on the theme “Reforming Indian Diplomacy for 2047.”
In his address, the Prime Minister emphasised advancing India’s international presence through a greater focus on trade, technology, and strategic partnerships. He also highlighted the importance of deepening connections with the Indian diaspora, which continues to play a key role in enhancing India’s global influence.
The discussions during the conference centred on building a future-ready diplomatic framework aligned with India’s long-term vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Presentations were made on promoting the “3Ts”: Trade, Technology, and Tourism, along with efforts to amplify India’s global narrative, often referred to as the “Bharat story.”
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who inaugurated the conference, noted the significant expansion of India’s global engagement over the past decade. He underscored that Indian diplomacy must remain agile in a rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape.
The three-day event also included brainstorming sessions, thematic discussions, and interactions between senior and young diplomats on emerging global challenges.
