Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has urged citizens to actively participate in the upcoming digital Census 2027, emphasizing that public cooperation is key to ensuring accurate and comprehensive data collection. Speaking during his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister highlighted how the transition to a digital format will make the census process more efficient, transparent, and accessible.
He reassured the public about the safety and confidentiality of their personal data, stating that robust cybersecurity frameworks and strict protocols are being put in place to prevent misuse. Modi underlined that the digital census will play a crucial role in policy formulation, resource allocation, and governance, helping the government better understand demographic changes and socio-economic trends.
The Prime Minister also encouraged people to view the census not merely as a routine administrative exercise but as a national responsibility. By participating actively, citizens can contribute to shaping the country’s development trajectory.
