Prime Minister Narendra Modi received praise from several world leaders as he became India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, surpassing the record previously held by Jawaharlal Nehru. The milestone marks 4,399 consecutive days in office, making Modi the longest-serving elected head of government in India’s post-independence electoral history.
