PM Modi Launches Major Tribal Development Drive With New Schools, Roads and Transport Boost

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a wide range of new initiatives for tribal communities during his visit to Dediapada, Gujarat. He attended the Grih Pravesh ceremony for one lakh houses built under the PM-JANMAN and DA-JAGUA initiatives, which aim to provide safer homes and better living circumstances in tribal areas. The event highlighted a significant drive to improve basic facilities in rural areas.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated 42 Eklavya Model Residential Schools, which cost almost ₹1,900 crore. These institutions are expected to improve tribal children’s access to school by providing stronger academic support and more conducive learning environments. Along with this, he established 228 Multi-Purpose Centres, which serve as community hubs for a variety of social and cultural events.

During the Gujarat ceremony, the Prime Minister launched 250 buses for 14 tribal districts, enhancing everyday travel and public transportation connectivity. He also laid the foundation stone for 748 miles of new roads and unveiled 14 Tribal Multi-Marketing Centres to promote entrepreneurship and economic inclusion. In addition, he laid the foundation for 50 more Eklavya Model Residential Schools worth over ₹2,320 crore, highlighting the government’s commitment to education in tribal communities.
