India delivered an impressive performance at the World Boxing Futures Cup 2026, finishing with a total of five medals at the competition held in Bangkok from March 8 to 15. The Indian contingent secured one gold, three silver, and one bronze, showcasing the country’s emerging boxing talent on the global stage.
Leading the charge was Chandrika Pujari, who clinched gold in the women’s 51kg category. She defeated Mardonova Nazokat of Uzbekistan by unanimous decision, displaying exceptional technical skill and control throughout the bout.
India’s strong showing continued with three silver medals. Gunjan finished second in the women’s 48kg category after losing to an opponent from the United Kingdom. Joyshree Devi secured silver in the women’s 54kg division, going down 4–1 to Guadalupe Ruiz of the United States. In the men’s 50kg category, Ambekar Meetei also earned silver after finishing runner-up to Mykhailo Sydorenko of Ukraine.
Rounding off the tally, Radhamani Longjam claimed bronze in the women’s 57kg category after reaching the semifinals. Overall, India’s five-medal haul highlights the depth and promise of its next-generation boxers.
