The Philippines has officially offered visa-free access to Indian passport holders for stays of up to 14 days, provided they meet certain requirements. This new exemption applies to Indian travellers who already have valid visas from specific countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Schengen area nations, Canada, Australia, and Japan.
The Philippines’ Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed the decision in a public announcement, making the policy effective immediately. To benefit from this relaxation, Indian tourists must have a valid visa from one of the authorised countries, as well as a confirmed return or onward travel ticket.
The maximum length of stay is 14 days, and the traveller’s passport must be valid for at least six months after the intended stay in the Philippines. Individuals identified as possible threats to public safety or of concern to immigration authorities will also be denied entry.
This strategy is useful for Indian travellers who frequently visit many Southeast Asian countries in a single trip. If the traveller intends to stay for more than 14 days, they must secure a standard visa in advance. Additionally, the third-country visa must be valid and eligible for entry. Expired or previously used visas will not be eligible for this exception.
