The United States national para ice hockey team completed a historic clean sweep at the Milan Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, defeating the Canada national para ice hockey team 6–2 in the final just weeks after their Olympic triumph over the same rivals.
Forward Jack Wallace starred with a hat trick, while Declan Farmer, named tournament MVP, along with Kayden Beasleyand Brody Roybal, added to the scoring. Canada’s Liam Hickey netted both goals but could not prevent defeat as the U.S. pulled away in the final period.
The victory marks a fifth consecutive Paralympic gold for the U.S., further cementing its dominance in para ice hockey, having now won six of the last seven editions. Captain Josh Pauls highlighted the depth of talent and strong grassroots development pipeline as key to sustained success. Wallace’s journey, from losing his leg in a childhood accident to delivering a hat trick on the sport’s biggest stage, stood out as a defining moment of the tournament.
The match, played before a record crowd of 10,795 fans, underlined the growing global appeal of para ice hockey, with an electrifying atmosphere matching that of Olympic-level competition.
