Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL), a defence public sector company, reached record exports of $106.17 million in the fiscal year ending March 2025. The company reported a 14.18% increase compared to $92.98 million in the previous year, marking its highest export achievement to date.
The company’s main export destinations include France, Spain, the US, UK, Israel, Sweden, Mauritius, Armenia, Sri Lanka, the Seychelles, and special economic zones. BEL has supplied radar warning receivers, missile approach warning systems, TR modules, Data Link II, coastal radar systems, EO systems, communication equipment, enhanced sonar systems, software, and mechanical parts to these markets.
BEL attributed its growth to proactive engagement with overseas customers, prompt project execution, the creation of tailored solutions, and collaborations with both the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Defence. The company secured fresh export orders of $54.16 million in 2024-25 and now has an order book of $348.46 million as of April 1, 2025.
In addition to defence items, BEL is developing civilian technologies, including AI-based applications, civil aviation radars, solar power solutions, and electronics manufacturing services. The company is also strengthening ties with key global defence and aerospace companies, taking part in ‘Make in India’ initiatives.
