A seasoned leader, Mr. Agarwal brings over 27 years of professional experience, including 24 years in construction and three focused years in the Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) domain. When he assumed leadership, Apex Buildsys required decisive direction and renewed momentum. Through bold yet well-calculated decisions, the forward-thinking leader transformed Apex from a conventional PEB supplier into a full turnkey steel solutions provider. He led a business turnaround that resulted in an exceptional 700% growth within a year, driven by diversification of PEB solutions into complex and high-value sectors such as refineries, metro rail projects, multi-storey structures, hospitals, and data centres. Equal attention was given to strengthening design, engineering accuracy, manufacturing quality, and on-site execution.
Under Mr. Agarwal’s leadership, Apex has become a leading name in the PEB segment, backed by one of Asia’s largest steel structure facilities in Nagpur (120,000 MT annual capacity). The Pantnagar plant raises total capacity to 200,000 MT per year. Likewise, landmark projects like Nagpur Metro and major refineries showcase its expertise in complex, time-sensitive execution.
Sustainably Strong
In 2024, Mr. Agarwal led Apex’s rebranding to emphasise sustainability and future-ready infrastructure. Under his guidance, the company increased use of recyclable and green steel, adopted energy-efficient designs, and implemented ISO 14001-certified systems. As a result, 25% of steel procurement is now from green sources, HVAC loads have dropped by up to 20% on select projects, steel scrap recycling exceeds 90%, and site accidents have come down by 70%.
