Situated near Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, the Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (SNIoE) is India’s leading multidisciplinary and research-centric university. The youngest varsity to be recognised as an IoE by the Government of India, it offers distinctive degree programs, fosters research, and works for social development.

The SNIoE is a multidisciplinary, student- centric research university founded in 2011 as part of a series of initiatives launched by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation established by Shiv Nadar, the Founder and Chairman of HCL. The SNIoE launched the Undergraduate Program in Design in 2023. Students will be able to learn and work on complex systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual reality, and mixed reality, as well as sustainability and systems approaches in various design-related fields. The four-year, full-time programme will offer students choice-based streaming in three domains of design: Experience Design (UI/UX), Product-System Design, and Visual Communication Design, with an option for an upgrade to a five-year Integrated B.Des.–M.Des. degree. Visual Communication Design will offer courses in high-demand areas such as digital interface design, design for sustainability, smart products, and mobility design.

FOCUS ON SOLUTIONS

The university’s curriculum helps students solve real-world problems through industry projects, hands-on exercises, and mandatory internships. In partnership with MachineHack, SNIoE hosted the third edition of the ‘Analytics Olympiad’ from August 24 to September 24, 2023. The annual competition offered data scientists and machine learning experts an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in predictive analytics and compete for prizes of up to INR 1.5 lakh.
